Lake Shore Center for the Arts Annual Literary Contest and Anthology

Deadline for submissions: September 30, 2024

3 Categories:

  1. Short Story – Fiction
  2. Short Story – Nonfiction
  3. Poetry (limit 3 poems, maximum of 5 pages total)

Prizes: First Place winners award $100

Second Place winners award $50 and publication in anthology.

Third Place winners are awarded $ 25 and publication in an anthology.

  • Honorable mentions may be included in the anthology.

Guidelines & Submission Process:

Five double-spaced pages maximum (2500 words). Must be your own unpublished* work. We are looking for originality and authenticity.  Surprise us. *Unpublished means a publication with no more than 1000 readers circulation.

Entries must be emailed in an MS Word file by September 15, 2024, using our website submission form (below).  Your name and contact information must appear only on the title page and not on any of the text.  Submission to the contest implies consent for inclusion in the Lake Shore Center for the Arts Annual Anthology.

Three judges will determine independently their assessment of the entries with a score.  The highest score will be the winner.  Winners will be announced on December 15, 2024.

Entry Fee: $10.  Every entry will receive a physical copy of the 2024 winning anthology.
