About the Lorna Penny Suite

Miss Lorna B. Penny gave her moral and financial support to LSCFTA from our beginning. A retired English teacher and theater lover, she recognized the value of our mission. Lorna contributed to our group whenever she saw a need, from the purchase of our lobby refrigerator to the funding of our baby grand piano.

Following Miss Penny’s death in 2019, her nephews Steve, Brian, and Chris McDonald honored the memory of their aunt with a gift of $15,000 to finance the transformation of a dusty, cluttered classroom into an elegant, peaceful oasis. That room now serves as our board room and theater library. When we are in production, the inviting space becomes our green room.

The suite is available, free of charge, to community and charitable groups for their board meetings. Others, who are LSCFTA members, may use the room for a modest fee. See “Facility Rental” for more information.
