Lake Shore Center for the Arts Finds a Home!

LAKE SHORE CENTER FOR THE ARTS
Press Release
Lake Shore Center for the Arts is proud to announce that they will be creating a permanent home in the Westfield Presbyterian Church building. This has been made possible with a generous grant received from the Peter Brand Foundation. The fine arts group has signed a lease with the church granting them use of a number of rooms on the upper level of the office and classroom wing as well as storage, bathroom facility and office space. In addition the church has agreed to allow the theater group to utilize the beautiful sanctuary for major theatrical productions.
On the upper level of the office and classroom wing the group will be building a 40 seat theater with tiered seating for excellent visibility and LED lighting instruments for theatrical lighting which will give the group technical capabilities far beyond most area theaters. In addition, the LED fixtures use only a small percentage of the power traditional theatrical lighting requires thus saving energy as well as money. Adjacent to the theater will be a 50 seat music recital hall that will also serve as classroom space when need arises.
A theater “green room” and office and storage space will adjoin the theater with additional storage available as well.
Room plans are included below.
Work will begin soon on all of this with a ribbon cutting ceremony coming in the near future.
If you would like to join this exciting enterprise please volunteer your help or become a member of Lake Shore Center for the Arts. Contact Rick Mascaro at either rickmascaro@gmail.com or lscfta@gmail.com We look forward to hearing from you!
