Moore Park Creative Photo Walk
Moore Park Creative Photo Walk
In this outdoor hands-on photo walk, you’ll be mentored by a renowned photographic artist, Carrie Shank, and take creative photographs while reviewing photography fundamentals. Carrie will discuss Exposure (how light works with a camera) and how the Big Three Settings (Aperture, Shutter Speed, & ISO) affect your photographs. She’ll talk about changing depth-of-field (controlling what’s in focus), stopping or blurring action, how to “see” your shot using a different perspective and other creative techniques.
We will meet in Moore Park which offers beautiful landscaping and stunning downtown Westfield views. The time frame offers an opportunity to learn about urban golden hour and long-exposures. For beginners who want to learn how to shoot in low-light and twilight situations, this is a great opportunity! (Honestly, it’s a great opportunity for ANYONE!)
Please dress according to the weather report, bring your camera with memory card & fully charged battery. Other useful gear: lenses (wide angle, prime, macro and zoom); tripod with a quick release plate and shutter release. Some studio equipment will also be available.
